The idea for nu-metal phenomena Linkin Park to team up with veteran rapper Jay-Z came when MTV asked the two to join forces for their Ultimate Mash Ups series.
As they were working on the song, they decided to go nuts and release a six track mini-album with both Linkin Park and Jay-Z's biggest tunes mixed into each other, resulting in a great concoction of different styles.
