Beyonce Knowles is planning to marry fiancé Jay-Z in the Caribbean next summer, it has been reported.

The R&B star and her rapper boyfriend have begun planning their wedding day - but are determined to keep the details a secret. A source close to the couple said: It will be a small, intimate wedding with just close friends and family.

"Preparations are under way, but the exact date and location have yet to be decided. Both Beyonce and Jay are determined to avoid turning the day into a media circus. So only they and their parents will know the full details until the very last minute."

Meanwhile, the former Destiny's Child singer, who has dated rapper Jay-Z for three years, has said she finds it easy to keep her love life out of the spotlight. The beautiful singer said: "Even in school I was private. It kept my name out of people's mouths."

"Not because I was ashamed or because I wasn't passionate about who I was dating, but because it seemed more pure when I treated it like it was sacred. I don't mind being vulnerable, but people scrutinise celebrities and make up stories. Then when everyone in the world is talking about you, it makes things really hard. I'm just a regular woman."

Rapper Jay-Z has also notched column inches lately, with news that he is being sued by a former WWE professional wrestler who claims the hip-hop star "stole" his trademark hand gesture.

In court papers filed in Los Angeles federal court, grappler Diamond Dallas Page - famous in the US for his outrageous in-ring antics - claims the rap star is guilty of "copyright infringement" and the "misappropriation of a hand signal" for using his "Diamond Cutter" gesture.

Page is now seeking an injunction to prevent Jay-Z from using the gesture - which involves touching the index fingers and thumbs so they form a diamond shape. Lawyers for the wrestler say Page can be seen flashing the "Cutter" on video since the mid-'90s, proving he created the signal.

Jay-Z, or his representatives, are yet to comment on the lawsuit.
